The Peninsula Phoenix II
A Fast, Light, Strong, Versatile and Reliable Handheld Barcode Scanner!
The Peninsula Phoenix II Barcode scanner is all these things and more.
The Phoenix II is ideal for retail, library, database, industrial and other applications.
The Phoenix II supports all major code types in use today including codes such as EAN, UPC, Code 39, Code 128 and even specialist codes such as Telepen.
Manufactured to the highest standards specifically for us, the build quality of these scanners is as good as scanners costing ten times the price. They feel solid but yet are both light and ergonomic.
The Phoenix II is backed by our 15 years of experience in barcoding, making them both user friendly, they work straight from the box, and accurate, they have inbuilt safety checks to make sure each barcode is scanned correctly.
Each code is scanned in microseconds and typed straight into your application as ASCII text. There is no need for additional software as everything is built into the body of the reader.
The scanner pretends it is an additional keyboard so anything you can type into can accept barcodes. The PS2 and ADB scanners come with a Y cable so you can still plug in your keyboard and use it at the same time.
All our barcode readers are ready set up when they leave us, all you do is simply plug in the cables provided and start scanning, no software setup is required.
The Phoenix II is fully programmable so if you need to change any settings a book of barcodes is provided. Setttings include things such as the character to be sent at the end or beginning of the code, or the beeper volume.
More advanced options are also available such as setting the scanner to hands free mode or triggerless mode.
The most adavanced option is data editing, with this you can change the format of the incoming barcode to suit your system, this is especially useful with legacy systems where the item code may only be made up of the middle numbers of a code. The Phoenix II can cope with this and input the data exactly as you want it.
Simply scan the codes in the book to set the options and other settings. A simple reset sheet is included for if you need to start again.
The Phoenix II comes with all the necessary cabling and have the decoder built into the handheld unit. (No extra boxes required).
All our readers have been extensively tested over long periods for reliability and all come with a 2 year RTB guarantee as standard. All readers are tested again before shipping to ensure that everything works when you get it.
The Phoenix II USB is designed for use with Mac (OS 8.5-9.2 and Mac OSX), PC (Windows, Linux and DOS) or other systems' USB ports.
The Phoenix II can also be used with Mac ADB or PC PS2 or PCAT ports, you can even still plug in your keyboard thanks to the Y cable attached to the scanner.
Each is supplied with the appropriate connection. Please feel free to ask about other connections.
